Nicole Kidman and Keith Urban, one of Hollywood’s enduring couples, have decided to separate, as confirmed by sources close to them. The pair, who tied the knot back in June 2006, are parents to two teenage daughters, Sunday Rose, now 17, and Faith Margaret, 14.

It’s been a tough road leading to this point. An insider shared that Nicole, at 58, really didn’t see this coming and had been putting in a lot of effort to keep things intact. “She didn’t want this at all,” the source explained.

“She’s been fighting hard to save the marriage.” On the brighter side, Nicole’s family has rallied around her, with her sister Antonia stepping up as a steadfast support, and the whole Kidman clan coming together during this challenging time.

The news first broke through TMZ, which reported that the couple had been living separately since early summer. Keith, 57, the country music star, has been keeping busy with his tour schedule—his next performance is set for October 2 in Hershey, Pennsylvania. Meanwhile, Nicole just finished shooting

Just a few months ago, on June 25, Nicole posted a cozy photo with Keith on Instagram to mark their anniversary, captioning it simply, “Happy Anniversary Baby ❤️ @KeithUrban.” Then in mid-August, she uploaded some “summer memories” featuring time with her girls and extended family, giving fans a peek into her world amid the changes.

This isn’t Nicole’s first high-profile split; she was previously married to Tom Cruise. Looking back, as recently as April 2024, she opened up about the strength she draws from her loved ones. “I’m so lucky that I have Keith, who’s just my love, my deep, deep love,” she told at the time. “That gives me the ability to go and do whatever I have to do because I know where I can come back to.”
